The best-selling roadster in automotive history, which has retained, with minor exceptions, the original image
An MX-5, what is it?
The Mazda MX-5, formerly known as the Miata, is a small passenger "roadster", and powered convertible. It's also one of the few that's existed for so many years and is the best-selling in automobile history. You can choose between a 2.0L engine with a 158-horsepower 6-speed automatic transmission and a 2.0L engine to 167 horsepower with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Opt for a soft or hard top
The 2012 Mazda MX-5 offers two types of convertible tops: a flexible one that attaches very easily (in a simple snap), and a hardtop with electric drive. An impressive feature of this car, is that once the roof opens, no space is lost. The roof does not fold into the trunk, but in a space exclusively for itself.
The hardtop is standard on the GS and GT models and it is worth it. Once the button is pushed, the top only takes only 12 seconds to retract itself.
You've never been so comfortable
With all the features offered by the MX-5, you've been as comfortable behind the wheel of a vehicle. You'll find a multitude of equipment that you don't normally find on a sports car, such as:
- Bluetooth connection
- SIRIUS Satellite Radio
- iPod Connection
- 5-setting heated seats
- Controls on the Steering Wheel
- 6-disc CD player with MP3 functionality
- Auxiliary plug
- Audio system with Bose 7-speaker available
- Audio Pilot noise compensation technology, which removes annoying background noise
