Mazda 6 in 2013, the Shinari concept features the new technology SKYACTIV

Here's a preview, you should see the new 2014 Mazda 6 SKYACTIV appearing at the next Auto Show in Montreal. It comes from the Mazda Shinari concept, also called TAKERI, and represents the new KODO image. You should see it at dealers in early 2013.

Some time ago, a new Mazda concept was unveiled. We saw it in two Chinese names: Shinari and Takeri. This concept illustrates very well the next-generation Mazda 6, with some differences, ex. the mirrors which will be adapted to reality, etc. You can get the 2014 Mazda 6 after its launch at 2013 Auto Show in Montreal.

Performance and Technology

The new Mazda 6 will fully integrate Mazda SKYACTIV technology. Why fully? Because currently, only the SKYACTIV engine is included with the Mazda3 sedan and sports models. Skyactiv technology applies to the entire engine and transmission, as well as the chassis and suspension. This innovation provides great fuel economy and increased vehicle performance.

At the time of the publication of this article, you can choose between a 2.5-liter SKYACTIV gas engine, a 2.2-liter turbo diesel with manual transmission or 6-speed automatic. However, the automotive world moves very quickly and its release is expected within 10 to 12 months. We therefore, for now, cannot confirm with regards to the motor.
